As we approach the closing stages of February, we do not have too much to report regarding the many progressive jackpots out there right now. In fact, aside from the £6,078,876 Mega Moolah payout a few weeks back, the entire month has been quiet. That is to be expected, however, as most of the jackpots do not payout that regularly.
The Major Millions (Microgaming) jackpot, which usually pays out an average of £1,003,997, has the lowest average payout frequency of 30 days, and the Mega Moolah (Microgaming), the most famous progressive network, pays out every 45 days on average. Aside from those two, the rest have payout frequencies of at least once every two months.
As you know, in this weekly progressive jackpot report for February week 4, we take a look at the 10 biggest progressive jackpot networks to see which are worth playing. We analyse the average payout frequency of each jackpot, how long it has been since its last payout and the current and average payout size of each jackpot. Well, the only change since our last report is that each of them has grown in size.
Of course, this just means that there is more for the people next in line to win them!
More info on the Mega Moolah payout: While we noticed the Mega Moolah paid out a jackpot of £6,078,876 (€7,296,286.88) back in our February Week 2 report, we had no idea which title in the Mega Moolah series of jackpot slots was responsible. This week, Microgaming announced the win, and revealed that the jackpot came on the original Mega Moolah video slot.
Microgaming’s Mega Moolah Jackpot Grows Over £600k in One Week!
Microgaming’s two main progressive jackpots continue to show they’re the most popular. The WowPot currently has the biggest jackpot of £8,317,233, an increase of about £250k since last week. However, as usual, it is the Mega Moolah jackpot that has grown the most in the past 7 days. It currently has a jackpot of £5,552,880 which represents a weekly increase of £600k. Currently sandwiched between those two is Playtech’s Jackpot Giant, which has not paid out in close to 3 years, at €6,309,128.
Hall of Gods and Mega Fortune, NetEnt’s popular jackpot slots have edged a little closer to top prizes of over €2.5 million, while Playtech’s Gladiator slot is the only one on the list with a jackpot of less than €1 million.
Fun Fact: The top jackpot on Microgaming’s Mega Moolah progressive network paid out a total of 10 times in 2021. If we assume there are to be similar numbers in 2022, it means if you’re a regular player, you have 9 more jackpots to attempt to win!
