It has finally happened! For the first time since we started this weekly progressive jackpot report, there has been a winner!
It is unclear who took down the £6,078,876 Mega Moolah jackpot, but we do know it happened last Sunday, the 6th of February. That payout occurred 81 days after the previous £5,618,044 that was recorded in November last year, a good 41 days longer than the average payout frequency of this jackpot network.
What is amazing is that despite paying out less than a week ago, the Mega Moolah jackpot is already the third-largest available to win. It reset to its seed of £1 million upon the win and has since grown to £4,939,484. That is already over double popular jackpot slots such as Hall of Gods, Arabian Nights, and Mega Fortune from NetEnt. It just goes to show the popularity of Microgaming progressive jackpots, particularly the WowPot and Mega Moolah networks.
Now, with this jackpot out of the way, it begs the question of which will fall next? Most are well overdue, as you will see in the table at the end of this article. The majority have gone way over their average payout frequency and have jackpots larger than their average payouts. The exception is obviously the Mega Moolah jackpot, which just paid out, but at this rate, it will have another jackpot larger than its average of £7,660,391 within the next week or two.
Microgaming launched the Mega Moolah progressive jackpot in 2006 and began with just the Mega Moolah video slot. However, in the last few years, Microgaming has expanded that network by adding 11 further titles, including Absolootly Mad, Atlantean Treasures, and Immortal Romance.
The WowPot Approaching £8 Million
The major takeaway from this Progressive Jackpot Report for February week 2, aside from that £million win, is that all the other jackpots remain intact and bigger than they were in our last report. Microgaming’s WowPot is now the biggest of them all at £7.8 million with the Jackpot Giant (Playtech) Jackpot next in line with a whopping €6.2 million up for grabs.
