Weekly Progressive Jackpot Report – Week 19 (May): Mega Moolah Goes for £12,792,841!

Can you believe that we have just seen yet another progressive jackpot payout? That makes it the third consecutive week that one of the jackpots we are tracking has paid out. However, while we should not sniff at smaller wins, this £12,792,841 payout from the Mega Moolah progressive network is vastly bigger than the €2.3 million won from Arabian Nights and the €3.3 million won from Mega Fortune in the last couple of weeks.

That payout is not the biggest ever received from the Mega Moolah, but it is a good £4 million higher than the jackpot’s average payout. There has been no official word on how or where the jackpot came about or which of the Mega Moolah progressive slots it paid out on. However, that is understandable considering Microgaming recently sold its entire game collection, including its jackpot slots, to Global Gaming Limited just last week.

What we do know is that the Mega Moolah jackpot paid out 3 days ago and was reset to its £1 million seed value. That has already doubled in the three days since with the new jackpot now sitting at just over £2 million. That already makes it the 5th largest jackpot of the 10 that we currently track. A big reason for this is the sheer number of progressive jackpots that have paid in the last month.

The biggest Mega Moolah jackpot ever recorded occurred just last year. That was for a whopping £19,429,692 in April 2021. Since then, there have been payouts for around half that, but nothing has come too close to that record.

Are there any jackpots left to win?

They are all still there, just that half of them are far smaller than they used to be and probably not worth playing right now. As you will see in our accompanying table, four of the jackpots we suggest avoiding while another is just a maybe in our opinion. As for those we do recommend you play, it has to be the WowPot progressive jackpot slots as that jackpot is now worth £10,782,444 and the biggest available right now.

That is followed by Playtech’s Jackpot Giant, which has to be due a payout. It has gone 800 days over its average payout frequency of every 159 days on average. Still, once it does pay, I doubt anyone will complain about that considering they would be over €6 million richer! The only other casino jackpots we recommend playing would have to be King Cashalot and Major Millions (both from Microgaming), and Playtech’s Gladiator.
