I love a conspiracy story as much as the next person, but could the US government actually have information that aliens actually exist? Well, following a huge number of recent bets being placed on the US government confirming its existence before the start of 2027, it certainly seems that plenty of people believe it does.

Key Highlights

  • We've found numerous news reports of an anonymous person placing around $100,000 on ‘alien existence' being confirmed by the US government in 2026.
  • Another popular platform we follow is Reddit, where Redditors are beginning to discuss the possibility of insider information being leaked.
  • Did you know that President Trump declared he would identify and release any government files about the existence of aliens?
  • From further research, we've found plenty of evidence that the confirmation of the aliens' prediction contract has since attracted over $10 million in trading volume.

A Whale Enters the UFO Market

What started as a large anonymous bet on a prediction marketplace has since turned into rumours of insider-leaked information, viral Reddit posts and even US President Donald Trump claiming he'll release all government files that will reveal the truth. All of this has led to over $10 million being traded on the contract posted on Kalshi, a regulated US prediction exchange.

The story, which has even led the Casinoplusbonus team to have serious lunchtime debates about the existence of aliens, began with a substantial bet of around $100,000. It was placed on the answer ‘Yes' on a market that asks the following simple question. Will the US Government confirm the existence of extraterrestrial life before January 1, 2027?

Now, the anonymous bettor is hardly the first to bet on aliens existing, so it's not the bet itself that raised eyebrows, but the amount. Even if you could shrug it off as somebody with too much spare money lying around, having a premonition, the bet was soon followed by another. This time it was double the size. It was now that people started to catch on to the market, with some on Reddit claiming these looked suspiciously like ‘insider bets'.

That's right, rumours of somebody working within the US government who not only knew of the existence of aliens but was convinced the information would be confirmed this year…were widespread.

Clearly, as we make no secret of our focus on delivering online casino reviews and bonuses, we're no experts on trading or prediction markets. However, we do know that unless you have a US address and a social security number, you won't be able to get involved with this or any market on the Kalshi platform. Still, you might find some similar novelty bets in the sports betting sections of some of our best-ranked online casinos.

Trump’s Post Adds Fuel to the Fire

Typically, you'd expect a conspiracy story like this to settle down once its novelty has worn off and it is no longer being shared across social media. Not this one, especially as the US President Donald Trump stirred the pot further following a post on the Truth Social platform. In short, it claimed he would direct US agencies, such as the Defense Department, to begin the process of identifying and releasing any government files on aliens and extraterrestrial life.

Of course, some traders automatically interpreted that post,  rightly or wrongly, as potentially relevant to ongoing UFO and UAP (Unidentified Aerial Phenomena) disclosures. To be clear, Trump did not explicitly state that aliens exist. But what he did say would provide more than enough fuel for that prediction contract to continue to attract sizable trades.

Casinoplusbonus Opinion

Do I believe the US Government is holding evidence of extraterrestrial life? Perhaps, as it's difficult to think we're all alone in this universe. But do I believe Trump will release such evidence, whether he even knows about it, or will use his powers to discover it? Highly doubtful. It is the sort of info that will forever remain secret, in my opinion, if it even exists at all. On second thoughts, knowing Trump, he

So, what we have right now is no official confirmation of extraterrestrial life from the US government yet, and potentially never, and there's no concrete evidence that the recent large trades were based on insider knowledge. What we do have is a highly active prediction market, a President fanning the flames in such a way that's almost trolling and over $10 million already riding on the possibility that humanity might get a historic announcement before 2027.

Whether it ends with a groundbreaking disclosure or simply becomes another forgotten story, one thing is for certain – the betting world never runs out of markets. And this might be the most out-of-this-world one I’ve seen in a while.
